A Transitional Dining Room

The entire home was designed for the client for this new build. The client’s style was transitional, and the goal was to create spaces that were peaceful, elegant yet comfortable. The client also wished to incorporate their traditional dining room table from their existing home into the new spaces but also wanted the space to feel mostly informal and casual.

Location: Accokeek, MD

Project Overview:

This space was a new build and a blank slate. As you enter the home, the dining room is the first space to greet you. The client skillfully updated their existing dining room furniture by reupholstering the chairs, giving the set a fresh look. A leaf extension was added to the table, along with two neutral-colored end chairs, enhancing the room’s functionality and style. The contrast of the wall paint, paired with sophisticated lamps and lighting, completes this elegantly updated traditional space. The rug and draperies complete this transitional dining room.
