A Classic Family Room

This home had been built by the owners 23 years previous to this stunning family room makeover. Everything was to be replaced from the flooring to the furnishings and window treatments in what was a complete home remodel.

Project Overview:

The work started with removal of the popcorn ceilings, squaring off all the columns throughout the home and replacing the flooring. As the family room was going to be used primarily for watching TV, Monique’s design centered around the TV without it being the only focus. The custom fireplace surround with over-sized wall sconces was built in up to the grand ceiling and deep crown molding added for a stately effect. The design allowed the furniture seating to be focused on both the fireplace and TV. Along with all the furnishings, Monique sourced performance fabrics and a hypoallergenic rug to allow for the pets.
