Meet Monique Holland

Interior designer Monique Holland is an artist at heart! She likes interiors that are timeless, elegant and sophisticated.

You can expect Monique to be honest and professional. Her listening skills and easy-going personality ensure that working with her is a joy. Monique offers full service interior design and her excitement over your project will shine through with a vision of your new space.

Monique has been decorating residential and commercial spaces in the DC area for over twenty years.  She loves the design process, managing client expectations with ease through regular communication. A full design project has many parts and Monique will organize everything with vendors and installers so that you don’t have to.

Many of Monique’s clients are professionals and don’t have the time to manage a complex project on top of busy careers. As a client, all you have to do is make the furnishing choices, then leave everything to Monique and her design team. On reveal day you can expect to come home to an amazing space that you’ll want to spend time in.

Interior Design Services

Holland Custom Designs offers interior design services for residential and some commercial projects and will assist you with the master plan, prioritization, and implementation of your project from start to finish. The project could be a complete home makeover or simply updating one area or element.

After some discussion by phone, Monique will visit on-site and discuss how she can work with you to design your project for the best outcome. Plans will be drawn and you will be shown material selections based on what you have discussed. Monique is fully involved in the project from beginning to end, including selection and purchasing and lastly, installation – the most exciting part!

If you want phenomenal design and customer service, I highly recommend Holland Custom Designs!! Soon after I closed on my home in DC, I became overwhelmed with finding the right living and dining room furniture/décor. I spent hours upon hours searching online, and when I received the pieces, I hated all of them. I realized I needed help, so I searched for professional decorators and found Monique Holland.

After viewing her website, I emailed her, and the next day she called to set up an in-person consultation. During the appointment, Monique took the time to get to know me and understand my esthetics and budget. A few weeks later, she returned to my home with a digital mock-up, and I was blown away! She completely captured my personality and vision. She had sample fabrics so I could see/feel the exact colors and textures, which you can’t do online. Once we finalized the details, she sent me updates every 2 weeks.

On the day of install, I was super nervous because I am incredibly picky! She came with her crew, and when they finished, I was in awe! My living and dining room looked ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Even better than the digital mock-up. Every detail was spot on and beautiful. Immediately after the install, I asked her to decorate more rooms in my home. I’m so grateful for Monique because she removed all the stress of finding the right pieces and made this process so smooth. It’s clear that she is a highly talented decorator and passionate about making her customers happy. I’m so lucky I found her!
